Curriculum Vitae

Born in Athens and raised in Amfiklia, he completed his undergraduate studies in Natural Sciences at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and his postgraduate degree with scholarship at the University of Hawaii in USA. He served in the Public Education, where he became interested in educational research.

-His doctoral dissertation at the University of Ioannina (2001) was an interdisciplinary endeavor applying Complexity Theory and Nonlinear Methodology to Social Science research. This work was continued in his postdoctoral research funded by the Greek State Scholarship Institute (IKY, 2002-2003).

-He worked at the Educational Research Center (2002-2008) and at the Pedagogical Institute (2008-2009), where he contributed to European (EPEAEK) και international (OECD) research programs. He also holds two more Master’s degrees in Statistics and Business Administration.

-He taught holding part-time positions at the Aristotle University, Department of Philosophy and Education(2007-08), Democritus University of Thrace, Department of Education (2006-2008), Panteion University, Graduate School- Organizational and Economical Psychology (2008-2009), and at School of Pedagogical and Technological Education, Graduate Program (2005-2008).

-From 17/06/2010 (elected in 18/12/2008) holds a Lecturer position at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Philosophy and Education, teaching Research Methods for Social Sciences and Statistics.
